The area also offers sports arenas for baseball, softball, soccer and beautiful golf courses. There are cultural activities including various theaters and arts councils offering concerts, plays, and live entertainment, and there are many local festivals held throughout the year.SVCC is currently seeking applicants for the position of Student Experience Coordinator. The successful candidate will provide direct support to the mission of the Enrollment Management and Student Success (EMSS) Division by continuously enhancing the College's strategic enrollment management trajectory through an equity lens and impacting outcomes related to student onboarding, persistence, and engagement. The Student Experience Coordinator will work in concert with stakeholders within EMSS and across the college to strengthen student connections to the institution and their commitment to accomplishing their educational goals.The Student Experience Coordinator develops, assesses, and sustains operational systems that strengthen student connections to the College. Informed by data, the Coordinator will develop and lead strategic college-wide initiatives that are focused on increasing applications and applicant yield; ensuring first-term enrollment, diversifying student recruitment populations; increasing high school and adult market penetration; and expanding opportunities for co-curricular student engagement. The Coordinator leads the development and implementation of a SVCC onboarding Services Level Agreement (SLA) to provide a quality one-door response to prospective and new students. The SLA is inclusive of, but is not limited to: ensuring that students receive strategic and timely communications; providing a seamless navigation experience that facilitates ease of entry, program exploration, placement, payment, registration, and enrollment; connecting students to services that can help them overcome non-academic barriers; and creating forums for students to build community, appreciate diversity, and develop as leaders.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Performance Management: Provide innovative leadership to Recruitment, Student Onboarding, Equity-Career Coach, and Student Activities program operations; Supervise and evaluate performance of assigned College Navigators, Education Support Specialists, and Equity-Career Coach positionsEstablishes expectations and communicates clear goals and objectivesCreates operational alignment between student onboarding, recruitment, and equity-career coach operations to enhance efficiencies and continuously improve the registration and enrollment experiences for prospective and new studentsEnsures delivery of a diverse, comprehensive college-wide student life experienceContinuously monitors performance expectations; provides staff with constructive feedback and interim evaluations as appropriateEnsures staff access and connections to professional development opportunities to foster a culture of team-building and continuous improvementProgram Administration: Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between Enrollment & Student Success departments and other operational areas throughout the College to implement/manage a holistic, one-door model of care and case management approach to onboarding new studentsEstablishes and adjusts institutional recruitment priorities based on quantitative/qualitative analysis and alignment with the Collegeâs enrollment management and strategic plans (i.e. applicant yield and market penetration)Monitor and analyze enrollment data to identify target populations for recruitment and provide flexible, rapid response to emerging opportunities that inform the Collegeâs recruitment strategiesFoster an operational culture that emphasizes strong relationships, a high-touch customer-centered approach, clear communication, transparency, and collaborationExpand the Collegeâs capacity to recruit diverse and under-represented student populations by adjusting recruitment strategies with an equity lens, investigating appropriate forums for engaging communities that represent those populations, and adjusting prospect-to-enrollment services to support in ways that are culturally responsiveDevelops, maintains, and monitors the Collegeâs prospective student communication plan, using multi-channel communications that align with set targets and established trends according to demographics, programs of interest, region, etc.Prepare reports regarding student onboarding successes and opportunities; perform analysis and summarize report findings to revise/enhance recruitment plansLead ongoing project management, implementation and professional development activities associated with the customer relationship management (CRM) system/SalesforceStay current with all onboarding-related policies and procedures for the purpose of effectively and proactively responding to student needsIdentifies and achieves goals and targets for increasing and sustaining enrollment through targeted outreach campaigns, one-on-one follow-up with prospective students, developing deeper relationships with high schools, community organizations and local employersStudent Engagement & Support: Recruit, onboard and advise new students during peak enrollment periods each semester and when the assigned Navigator(s) are unavailable; Deliver and maintain a vibrant student life environment at SVCC that provides inclusive, diverse engagement and development opportunitiesLead New Student Orientation (NSO) curriculum design, coordinate logistics and scheduling, and serve as lead administrator over the program; facilitate virtual and in-person New Student Orientation sessions as neededParticipate in recruitment events to enhance high school and adult market penetration and raise the profile/visibility of college programs and offeringsServe as mentor to the Student Government Association; implement student leadership development activitiesOversee SVCC Student Ambassador programPromote student engagement among of a diverse array of clubs and organizations.Collaborate with counselors and other SVCC departments to support studentsâ well-being, including referrals/access to mental health counseling and community-based resourcesProgram Assessment & Evaluation: Regular evaluation of the effectiveness of SVCCâs recruitment, onboarding, and student engagement programs; ensure strategy alignment with the collegeâs Strategic Enrollment Management Plan and Strategic PlanRegularly compile and analyze data on student onboarding initiatives and engagement events using the CRM/Salesforce or related technology toolsDevelop service area outcomes for SVCC student onboarding and engagement goals; monitor assessment of those outcomes and develop/implement plans of action for continuous improvement
