The Solutions Engineer supports the growth and customer retention goals of the CoverMyMeds through a variety of strategic and tactical client solutions-oriented activities. The Solutions Engineer regularly interfaces with the current and prospective partners, sales, product management, operations and other key internal teams to deliver commercialization solutions aligned to the unique needs of the Specialty Pharmaceutical, Pharmaceutical Services and Bioscience industries.
1. Sales Support: Establish and maintain a deep understanding of the CoverMyMeds product portfolio and the competitive landscape. Act as a product and value proposition expert in all sales environments that results in a deeper partnership with our existing and potential clients. Develop and perpetuate competitive positioning and well-differentiated solutions
2. Client Engagement : Support the innovation and implementation of strategic solutions that align with each clients' objectives. Participate in customer capabilities discussions, solution discussions, and sales pitches representing CoverMyMeds products and services as the subject matter expert. In conjunction with the CoverMyMeds sales team, regularly prepare and present solutions to prospective and current clients including product demos, case studies, relevant data, and experience driven insights.
3. Solution Strategy and Roadmap : Continued innovation of solutions utilizing in-depth knowledge of CoverMyMeds offerings, industry trends, healthcare landscape, legislative impacts and the competitive environment. Identify gaps in CoverMyMeds solutions and work in conjunction with Product Management, Operations, Client Management, and Competitive Insight to make recommendations for industry-leading solutions beneficial to current and prospective clients. Collaborate closely with product, analytics, and customer success teams to define and refine product functionality, value propositions, and positioning.
4.Industry Presence : Regularly engage in targeted activities designed to identify new clients and promote the CoverMyMeds value proposition and capabilities. This includes but is not limited to, collateral preparation, consultant meetings, trade show attendance, exhibiting, etc.
Typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience.
5 years progressive market access, product development/management, business development, or marketing experience within the pharmaceutical manufacturing or pharmaceutical services industry or equivalent experience in market access services provider roles.
Previous experience in supporting a sales team with unique sales solutions, proposal support, client engagement, and industry knowledge.
Experience in the specialty healthcare or pharmaceutical segment with understanding of healthcare continuum and relationship between manufacturers, providers and payers
Strong industry specific knowledge, including: demonstrated knowledge of reimbursement, specialty pharmaceutical, and pharmacy distribution trends and practices.
Strong business acumen of commercialization and buying process including third party logistics, access and adherence services, consigned pharmacy, specialty pharmacy and retail pharmacy.
Exceptional presentation skills with previous client product demo experience.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with collaboration skills and ability to influence others; ability to build credible relationships across multi-business units, management teams, business partners, current and prospective clients
Proficiency with CRM Software such as Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint.
