Job Title:Coordinator, Member and Board Relations
Reports To:Director, Member and Board Relations
The Coordinator, Member and Board Relations is responsible for supporting the retention, growth and engagement of the NAM's largest members and the NAM Board of Directors from a variety of manufacturing industry sectors.
This position requires an organized self-starter who can multi-task and manage projects in support of the membership team and all membership initiatives assigned with a focus on NAMIS and data updates. The position represents the NAM at all levels both internally and externally. Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
*Stay abreast of and flag relevant news and updates on members and prospects in the assigned territories. Work collaboratively with assigned Regional Directors to develop engagement strategies, invoice strategies and execution for both members and prospects. *Ensure that the database is kept up to date and flag potential leadership transitions. *Be proactive on identifying issues and company engagement and amplification opportunities working in concert with assigned Regional Directors. *In coordination with the Regional Directors, conduct research, analyze financial information, and stay abreast of key policy and business issues of concern for members in assigned regions. *Draft relevant communications and background as requested for the President and CEO and other senior leadership emails, calls, meetings and events. *Manage and update database as needed with active prospect accounts and new and active members in the assigned regions. *Track and manage various departmental projects including prospect leads, field financials, sponsorships and other funding, facility locations, event/meeting participants. Track database email returns and find solution to sends. *Report quarterly financials of member companies. Provide brief outlook update to appropriate channels. *Organize and manage member briefings. Prep meeting materials and background research. *Assist with Public Affairs/Grassroots Events, Dialogues, Leadership and Plant Tours. Prepare itineraries, agendas, invitations, invitation lists, briefing books, materials, etc. Follow-up calls as directed and staff as needed. *Handle members' requests as assigned, following up on information, document preparation, correspondence, and reports. Actively participate as requested on member and prospect calls.
*College degree or equivalent work experience required. *Minimum of four years administrative/project management work experience. *Must be articulate, well organized and self-motivated. *Ability to work face to face with senior level executives, and ability to work well under pressure. *Strong project management skills are essential and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites and Salesforce. *Must have excellent interpersonal, writing and editing skills. *Ability to manage multiple projects in a faced-paced, deadline driven environment. *Ability to work efficiently within a cross-departmental team.
