The Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit professional organization composed of members who provide dermatologic care or have an interest in the medical specialty of dermatology. A mission-focused membership organization, SDPA works to empower, educate, and advance the DermPA™ practice by providing high-quality educational and professional development opportunities, while advocating for a practice environment that advances patient care. Its Fellow members are PAs who provide medical services with the collaboration of a board-certified dermatologist. Founded in 1994, the SDPA currently has over 4,700 members and is the largest specialty organization in the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
SDPA employs a professional staff committed to advancing the Dermatology PA profession through innovative educational offerings, outstanding conferences, and collaboration efforts with passionate members. The SDPA headquarters office is located in Alexandria, Virginia, but remote work is an option.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a self-motivated individual with experience in the professional meetings and learning environment. In addition, association experience with knowledge of volunteers, membership and committees is also preferred. The Meetings and Education Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the success of all SDPA conferences and online education plus provides support in the areas of speaker and content management and online education programs.
The coordinator works with SDPA’s Education Team to ensure program logistics and necessary policies are completed efficiently, effectively and within budget. Travel will be required to various education programs (2-3 per year) to ensure proper function of all continuing professional development events.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manages necessary databases for successful execution of all educational programming.
Develops a means to track and maintain timelines and deadlines for review and execution of educational programming.
Maintains and oversees database management, including but not limited to assigned committee database, faculty, meeting database, and survey results.
ONLINE LEARNING/LMS
Provides monthly data and reports on LMS usage, learner demographics, and course revenue and expenditure reports.
Serves as primary support for webinar attendees.
Provides customer service and technical support to members when using online content / resources and notifies enrolled learners of courses with expiring CME.
VOLUNTEERS/REGISTRANTS
Tracks all required speaker materials, housing needs, and registration.
Manages aspects of Cvent, including collection and scoring of poster abstracts, speaker information, etc.
Runs registration reports and maintains attendee lists.
Supports registration needs, shipping requirements, and logistics for all meetings.
Provides high-level customer service to members through phone calls, emails, and personal interaction.
COMMITTEES
Coordinates SDPA’s Diplomate Fellowship Program, Distance Medical Education, and other committees as appropriate.
Supports and facilitates the Diplomate Fellowship online learning community.
SKILLS
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in conference planning, project management, and educational programming, with preferred experience in the not-for-profit, professional association industry.
Healthcare association experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Creative problem solving; calm/cheerful demeanor under pressure.
Outstanding customer service.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced, team environment and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
Experience with meetings and learning management software (Cvent, Crowd Wisdom, Elevate LMS), Microsoft Office applications and website/apps.
Self-starter, able to work independently and within a team environment.
CMP eligible preferred.
Cvent certified a plus.
