Overview
Oversee the Universityâ™s Clery Act Compliance program. This role will develop, manage, and maintain a comprehensive Clery Act compliance and Campus Security Authority (CSA) training program designed to limit the Departmentâ™s and Universityâ™s liability and risk exposure. The position will oversee all Clery Act compliance, reporting, and Campus Security Authority training activities while partnering with various University departments and the Langone Health Network. The Manager must have a keen understanding of the organizational needs of the Department and will be responsible for working with Department leadership and University partners to ensure compliance with New York state regulatory compliance for public safety services and federal regulatory compliance for all University entities. The Manager will foster relationships with external stakeholders, assess and evaluate compliance-related requests and provide strategic direction for the Departmentâ™s Compliance programming.
Responsibilities
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree
Required Experience: 5+ years years of experience related to legal, state, and federal regulatory compliance in a higher education and/or hospital setting, data science, or, equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education. Experience creating dashboards, data visualization, and problem solving.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong writing, analysis and synthesis skills. Ethical and principled, diligent and detail-oriented. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly across all professional levels. Excellent project management skills and interpersonal skills. Intimate knowledge of the Clery Act, Title IX, FERPA, CALEA and IACLEA accreditation programs, security practices and principles, best practices, security and Constitutional law, and physical security. Knowledge of security-related electronic equipment and online learning management systems. Develop and evaluate existing reporting systems and support responses to inquiries and requests for information from both internal and external stakeholders. Domestic and international travel opportunities may exist but not anticipated to be required. Scheduled office hours subject to adjustment as needed to accommodate other time zones.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Understanding of campus security best practices, compliance processes and proficiency in SQL.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $94,544.98 to USD $114,544.98. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
