What we’re looking for:

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic 2  to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting the operational integrity of our facility, including laboratory and support areas. Your work will ensure the seamless functioning of our equipment, systems, and infrastructure, enabling us to provide timely services to our clients and internal departments.

As a vital part of our team, you'll contribute directly to our mission by ensuring a safe and efficient working environment for our employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain repair list and repair facility systems.
• Coordinate work impacts with staff, minimize disruptions, and maintain transparency.
• Complete work orders for carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
• Coordinate project work for contractors and ensure completion.
• Clean various areas of the building and grounds.
• Respond to work orders for restroom maintenance issues, room setups, and furniture moving.
• Perform planned maintenance tasks on various equipment.
• Maintain building plumbing, electrical, mechanical, steam, chiller water systems, HVAC systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, fire systems, gas meter calibration, safety shower and eyewashes, CCTV, and security systems.
• Use electronic, digital analytic tools, computer analysis, and data for diagnostics and solutions.
• Monitor building automation and Siemens, and Alerton systems.
• Verify asset documentation and work with surplus management for organization and shipment.
• Maintain asset inventory on Computerized Maintenance Management System, Excel, and Word documents.
• Initiate procurement requests by researching part numbers, costs, and/or vendor information.

• 2 or more years of experience performing a variety of building and/or laboratory maintenance duties.
• Experience performing preventive Mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Demonstrated proficiency in operating mechanical and diagnostic tools.
• Experience in maintaining repair lists, completing work orders, and documenting maintenance activities.
