Job DescriptionThe Associate Director ofFinancial Systems, Reporting and Planning reports to the Director, FinancialSystems, eCommerce and Compliance and will lead an FMS team responsible forsystems maintenance and analysis, project management, financial applicationsand reporting, and training. TheAssociate Director will be responsible for overseeing the development,procurement, implementation and maintenance of technology resources as well aspolicies and procedures within the Finance operations with the principleobjective of improving administrative and business operations by providinggreater efficiency through the use of technology. The position will also provide direction andguidance on the design, development and maintenance of PeopleSoft Financialsreports and queries, system integration, close processes and will assist with developingand executing a PeopleSoft financial reporting strategy.
TheAssociate Director will work with the FMS staff to ensure financial systems aresecure, access is authorized, and data is reliable, including standards toensure the integrity of information electronically transferred from otherUniversity systems. Will also act asliaison and partner with Information Technology Systems and other Finance departmentsfor financial systems development and to assess needs and identify solutions toensure efficiency. The AssociateDirector will oversee project management initiatives which include on-goingprocess improvements, functional support, assistance and maintenance forPeopleSoft Financial Systems and support of other finance related systems. The position will also assist with the designof financial systems learning, training, testing and applications designprojects, including planning, implementation and evaluation.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $127,250 to $159,050; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree in technology orbusiness-related field.
Experience: Seven to ten years of professional experience ininformation technology.
Knowledge: Business process improvements, projectmanagement and training.
Must possess a demonstrated careerrecord of success in financial systems management with ability to schedule andidentify resources to support day to day production operations and otherfinancial projects; interpret finance and business rule changes into any newsystem changes; and prioritize projects with other concurrent initiatives.
Experience in the design, development,and support of computerized information systems should be combined with anability to analyze business operations both strategically and from adetail-oriented perspective. Exposure tovarious IT networks, computing platforms, software applications, standards andprotocols, data administration and processing, interactive services and usertechnical support preferable.
