Reporting to the Director of Communications in the Division of Communications and External Affairs, the Communications Digital Media Manager is primarily focused on managing digital, online, multi-media communications, providing editorial, technical, and production support and expertise. Duties include collaborating with communications staff, social media coordinator and other divisional staff to manage website content and digital communications to effectively help with student recruitment and retention, community engagement, and to inform the college community about events, college-wide initiatives, and programs. Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Communications Digital Media Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
??? Assists with web content management, digital communications, and editorial review of communications across the college website (using Word Press CMS), social media, college digital signage, and other digital platforms;
??? Manages digital, online, multi-media communications, providing editorial, technical and production expertise;??? Consults with staff across departmental units and the college to assess needs and determine design and technical specifications;
??? Coordinates the efforts of internal and external professionals to implement and disseminate digital media projects;
??? Creates and maintains databases, archives, and other content associated with media projects for college digital signage and other digital platforms;
??? Develops production policies and standards and adhere to communications and branding standards for digital media projects, including college digital signage.??? Supervises staff on project assignments and delivery of assets;
??? Ensure the creative treatment of the College website accurately, effectively, and consistently reflects LaGuardia???s brand standards;
??? Work in collaboration with the Information Technology Division to implement website redesign, upgrades and develop technical strategy;
??? Responsible for managing and updating website structure, page construction, content, and copywriting management;
??? Regularly analyze data to identify opportunities and vulnerabilities; develop recommendations to optimize the user experience;
??? Increase inbound traffic to LaGuardia website through search engine optimization, including keyword/phrase research, sponsored and natural listings;
??? Using Google analytics and other tools, establish a baseline to track and measure website traffic;
??? Provide regular reporting for website and other online marketing initiatives;
??? Monitor and manage the college???s web engagement and reputation;
??? Help to establish and enforce college-wide guidelines and standards for the creation, moderation (monitoring), and management of social media platforms;
??? Design and implement web-focused campaigns to target audiences;
??? Support the distribution of external emails, including President???s monthly external e-newsletter, Campus Update and Red Hawk RoundUp newsletters using a variety of distribution platforms; ??? Assist in the transfer of files and memory allocation for Website on University/College server;
??? Develop PowerPoint presentations for Communications and External Affairs Division and the President???s Office as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and six years' related experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design/Web and Multimedia, Computer Technology, Telecommunication or a related field. Experience with web development using Word Press (CMS). Experience in marketing, communications, computer technology in higher education, non-profit or corporate environment, web/online technologies, and rebranding initiative a plus.
