Staff Associate I
We seek a dynamic, energetic Staff Associate to support the planning, development and implementation of an NIH-funded study that investigates ethical, legal and social issues (ELSI) relating to the inclusion of adults with intellectual disability in precision medicine research and develops a protocol-adaptable consent toolkit to assist precision medicine researchers in including adults with intellectual disability. Working directly with the lead researchers, the Staff Associate will support all aspects of this project, including conducting literature review, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analyses, helping with consent toolkit development, planning of multi-stakeholder meetings and assistance with manuscript preparation. The ideal candidate has prior experience in mixed-methods research and interest in disability studies. This study is a collaboration between Columbia and Syracuse Universities. This position will be at the Center for Precision Medicine and Genomics (CPMG) at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
Conduct academic literature review relevant for the study;
Support all aspects of data analyses, including data management, analyses of survey responses, conducting and coding of interviews, and manuscript preparation.
Help planning and coordinating work related to data collection and multi-stakeholder meetings
Communicate and coordinate work with researchers, collaborators and Project Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Degree: BA or BSc
Minimum Qualifications: Entry Level - 1yr
Salary Range: $57,000.00 - $57,000.00
