Job Description Summary
Michigan Technological University’s Department of Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics (ME-EM) invites applications for a non-tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professor position. We seek candidates with expertise in mechanical engineering in general and particularly in dynamic systems, noise control, digital signal processing, instrumentation, and industrial-based engineering experience to support senior design teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
Teach undergraduate and graduate mechanical engineering courses May include service on committees Conduct outreach activities Assist with the department's assessment
Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Required Experience (minimum requirements)
Classroom teaching experience Expertise in mechanical engineering in general and particularly dynamics systems, noise control, digital signal processing, instrumentation, and industrial-based engineering experience.
Ability to perform data acquisition on dynamic systems.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across cultural boundaries and work harmoniously with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities
Project management, supervising teams of engineers.
Language, Mathematics and/or Reasoning Skills
