Job Description: The Associate Director of Student Accountability & Education (ADSA+E) primarily serves in a liaison capacity with campus partners, community members, and students seeking assistance in the student accountability process. This position maintains high student contact and a caseload to address student accountability using the code of conduct and to use a variety of interventions, referrals, and follow-up resources. In addition, the ADSA+E works in collaboration with other members of the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs (OVPSA) and the Dean of Students (DOS) to expand the visibility, training, and outreach to advance the student accountability mission to foster student advocacy, ethical and responsible decision making among Goucher's student population.
Job Requirements:Education:
Required: Master's degree in higher education, student affairs or equivalent in related field.
Professional Experience:
Required: Two years of experience in any of the following: case management, student conduct, residence life, and/or Title IX
Preferred: Three years of working experience as a part of a case management support team, experience working with college-aged students and on and off campus partners (faculty, staff, community providers, and parents/families), experience working at a residential liberal arts college, demonstrated passion for students' development and learning, and openness to staying current on new ideas and technologies relevant to the position, demonstrated ability to work
Computer Skills: Office 365, case management software

Additional Information:Salary Range: $79,563 - $93,603
- Student Accountability Administration: Administrates matters of student accountability through prescribed College policies and procedures while also using professional discretion within the framework of a student development model to apply theory to practice and create outcomes that balance the needs of the individual student and the community. Coordinates with the Dean of Students to craft individually based, constructive outcomes for a student that has violated College policies. Provide advice and guidance to faculty and staff facing complex issues regarding student behavior and determining the most appropriate approach to prescribed College policies. Serve as the Student Accountability Officer on the Student Accountability Board. Analyze information presented through the Student Accountability Process and recommend outcomes that could include suspension and expulsion from the College. Serve as a resource to parents & families, staff, and faculty for a student participating in the student accountability process. Manage workflow and maintain accurate records for student accountability cases using Symplicity Advocate. Respond to walk-ins, emails, and phone calls regarding Student Accountability. Member of the CARE team.
- Workshops and Presentations: Lead the Student Accountability initiative to coordinate and facilitate formative workshops (to be used as outcomes from accountability meetings) based on student development theory; Train student affairs administrators (directors, associate directors, assistant directors, and program coordinators) to serve as Student Accountability Officers; Coordinate information sessions with various departments, to familiarize faculty, staff, coaches, and student staff with College's Code of Conduct & Accountability.
- Student Outreach: Maintain a presence on campus through a variety of direct student outreach to develop relationships with the student body and articulate the College's Code of Conduct. Participate in orientation activities for new and transfer students.
- Assessment: Serve an integral role in developing and implementing an assessment plan for the Student Accountability process. Assist with data collection and analysis. Write executive summaries and draft reports for review by other staff.
- Digital footprint and Publications: Assist with maintaining the College's Code of Conduct and Student Handbook to ensure accurate and up-to-date campus information and applicable college student policies and resources. Develop content for the Student Accountability website.
- Policy Administration and Research: Stay informed of national trends, legal findings, and professional best practices through active involvement in the Associate for Student Conduct Administration and reading pertinent higher education news. Participate actively in reviews of student accountability processes, procedures, and policies with the Dean of Students and others in Student Affairs. Develop relationships with colleagues at peer institutions to engage in ongoing benchmarking research of related topics.
