POSITION SUMMARY
This TEMPORARY position through the Temporary Office of the President Staffing program (TOPS) involves analytical studies on a variety of policies, projects, programs and issues in support of a function, research initiative, program and / or organizational unit, or in research of new or changing systems and programs. Assists in policy and program planning, development, administration, management and implementation; interprets, monitors and analyzes information regarding policies and procedures and provides consultative services to department administrators and other stakeholders. Applies professional concepts to conduct analytical studies or projects of moderate scope and complexity to address a variety of policy, research and procedural issues. Fully analyzes issues and problems, gathers data and information, finds and evaluates alternatives and makes sound recommendations.
Assist with revision of RGPO Grant Administration Manual.
Collect revision requests from all 5 programs. Compile revisions needing further discussion and consensus by RGPO programs.
Reformat document to include Table of Contents with bookmarks, adding Acronyms and Definitions pages. Make style consistent throughout. Finalize document with proper formatting.
Assist Research Grants Program Office Pre-Award Team with application deadlines and review meeting preparation in conjunction with grant-making software platform. In preparation for the review meetings, assist with preparation of meeting materials and tracking of reviewer travel and honorarium payments.
Provide logistical support for peer review (in-person or videoconference) meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience reviewing and editing policy documents or Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs).
Intermediate/Expert experience with Microsoft Word.
Strong organizational skills as demonstrated by the ability to prioritize work and complete projects/tasks in an accurate and timely manner under pressure of deadlines.
Demonstrated skill organizing materials and information in a systematic way to optimize effective and efficient operations.
Meticulous attention to detail as demonstrated by regularly verifying all work thoroughly to ensure accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of federal or state research guidelines is helpful.
Experience with project management and databases a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary: $38/hour
