Job Description: What We Are Looking For
Baylor University is seeking a Research Systems Support and Training Specialist to serve in the Office of the Vice Provost for Research. This position is responsible for assisting the research enterprise through providing helpdesk support, training support, and assist in the evaluation and selection of new research technology. A Bachelor's degree, three years of relevant experience and an active Christian faith are required. This position may be eligible for remote/hybrid work and Baylor reserves the right to make the ultimate determination. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Provide helpdesk support for research administration systems, including pre-award administration, research compliance, effort reporting and other needs as they develop.
Provide training support for research administration systems, including development of digital and video training materials and delivery of instructor led content.
Participate in evaluation of new OVPR technology, to include community needs assessments.
Maintain software configuration documentation and reporting documentation for all systems as needed.
Develop fluency in research administration business processes, regulatory environment, and best practices.
Secondary Functions
Collaborate within OVPR and with the Baylor community on maintaining integrity, integration, and output of OVPR data and processes.
Liaison with Baylor's Information Technology team on OVPR initiatives requiring Baylor's IT support and governance.
