As the Engineering Admissions and Articulation Specialist at the prestigious Bourns College of Engineering, University of California, Riverside, you will be at the heart of our efforts to recruit and retain top engineering talent. This unique position focuses on streamlining pathways for first-year and transfer students, creating seamless transitions into UCR's engineering programs. You'll play a vital role in fostering partnerships with community colleges, developing articulation agreements, and ensuring that our recruitment efforts are inclusive, strategic, and aligned with UCR's mission. The position is grant-funded for 2 years, with a possibility of renewal based on funding.
What You Will Do:
Build Partnerships and Agreements: Collaborate with community colleges to develop and strengthen articulation agreements, making the transfer process smooth and straightforward for incoming students.
Strategic Recruitment: Drive outreach initiatives to attract diverse, talented students, engaging with high schools, community colleges, and outreach programs like MESA to strengthen the pipeline for future engineers.
Support Prospective Students: Provide comprehensive guidance on admissions, academic preparedness, and career opportunities, ensuring that students feel supported every step of the way.
Collaborate for Success: Work closely with internal teams, including the Dean's Office, faculty, and academic advisors, to ensure unified communication and support for newly admitted students.

The full salary range for the Engineering Admissions and Articulation Specialist is $61,000 - $106,800 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
As a University employee, compliance with all applicable University policies and collective bargaining agreements is required. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with schools, universities, community organizations, and other institutions.
Ability to develop recruitment programs, and design effective materials.
Thorough knowledge of engineering community college structures and transfer pathways.
Ability to problem-solve programmatic and other issues as they arise.

Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders-including the Deans Office, Academic Advisors, faculty and supporting departments-the specialist ensures that communications and support are well-aligned to meet the needs of prospective and newly admitted students. This role demands a proactive approach to relationship building, crafting targeted recruitment initiatives, and fostering a robust pipeline of diverse prospective students, thereby supporting student transitions and enhancing the overall strategic recruitment objectives of BCOE.
