Position Summary
The Psychology Department at Elon University seeks applicants for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level with a focus on Education and Development. The position will begin mid-August 2024.
Teaching will include Educational Psychology, Lifespan Development, and other foundational and special topics courses within the major and courses in the Elon Core Curriculum. Candidates who have experience working with a diverse range of people, and who can contribute to the climate of inclusivity are encouraged to identify their experiences in their cover letter.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
Applicants should have completed or expect to complete a Doctorate in developmental psychology, educational psychology, school psychology or a related discipline by August 2024. Candidates must show evidence of high-quality teaching at the undergraduate level. The ability to maintain a sustained research agenda that actively incorporates undergraduate mentees into one's program of research is essential. Elon employs a Teacher-Scholar-Mentor model of faculty engagement, with faculty typically teaching six courses per year.
