The Admissions Communications Team is a hybrid marketing and communications team that blends traditional and digital marketing efforts focusing on communication strategy. The team comprises experts in marketing, communications, analytics, and strategy. We are an agile and flexible team that aims to enable better storytelling through stronger reporting and strategic analysis of our marketing and communications efforts.
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Admissions Communications, the Associate Director is responsible for working across traditional and digital marketing and communication channels, with an emphasis on top-of-funnel awareness marketing such as lead generation, communications, and advertising/media efforts.
The Associate Director's portfolio will include, but not be limited, to the following:
Strategically leading top-of-the-funnel marketing support for awareness campaigns
Overseeing prospective student and parent campaigns
Managing the recruitment event communication strategy
Leading the advertising strategy including profile guides (print and digital), paid media, and other lead-generation efforts
Strategically leading digital media efforts, particularly around top-of-funnel campaigns
Managing our student/alumni profile strategy
The Associate Director is responsible for creating, deploying, tracking, and measuring their campaigns in support of the overall enrollment management strategy across multiple colleges within Northeastern University. Strategies must drive and support annual enrollment goals, increase awareness, and contribute to the overall success of Northeastern University. Close collaboration with internal teammates, colleagues around the university, and external vendors will be a key facet of this role.
QUALIFICATIONS
Provide the minimum education, experience, and skills required to perform the job successfully.
A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in marketing marketing-related field, with 6-8 years of experience in communications and/or marketing. Experience in higher education is a major plus. Strong project management and organizational skills are required. Candidate should possess excellent writing and communications skills, a strong knowledge of English grammar, and an ability towork collaboratively while supporting multiple projects. The candidate must be a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to handleprojects from start to finish and strong leadership skills to support the unit's interests and goals as assigned. The ability to manage stakeholder expectations is critical. Attention to detail is a must. Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
We are searching for a flexible, creative thinker who is open to new ideas and changing priorities within a fast-paced organization. An ideal candidate will have the ability to manage stakeholder expectations, possess strong communication skill, and the ability to think and act both analytically and strategically.
Experience working within marketing/communications technology such as a marketing automation tool (MAP) and customer relationship management system (CRM) is a plus. Experience in Slate is a plus. Experience in content management systems (CMS) is preferred.
