The Stanford University Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation is currently accepting applications for the position of Director/Assistant Director, Recruiting Creative. This position will serve to advance the student-athlete recruiting efforts of assigned Stanford women's sports programs through content creation and strategy. This position will work closely with many different external relations units and frequently interface with program staff. The successful applicant will be a dynamic and creative storyteller who develops a deep and clear understanding of what makes Stanford University and Stanford Athletics unique and compelling to prospective student-athletes. This is a full-time, exempt position.

Summary of essential job functions:
Assist select sports programs in developing strategies and execution timelines that enhance recruiting efforts.
Create content that resonates with prospective student-athletes and represents the brand values of Stanford Athletics.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine appropriate distribution mediums, create concepts, plan production, and produce media (including logistics coordination, video/photo shooting, music and sound effect selection, computer graphics, animation, digital effect creation, editing and tape duplication).
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and ensure that Stanford remains at the forefront of the recruiting landscape.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite software, specifically Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere.
Understanding of content strategy and creation, specifically with a recruiting audience in mind.
Good interpersonal skills, judgment, and diplomacy required to interact effectively with and provide customer service to a broad audience.
Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Comfortability with tight deadlines and the ability to answer to multiple constituents and prioritize projects, including working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Self-motivated individual who takes initiative on new projects, and proactively identifies new opportunities.
Extensive functional knowledge of social media platforms and their audiences.
Strong organizational and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
Ability to intake requests and feedback from multiple sources while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Must maintain current knowledge of applicable rules and standards of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), as well as other associations and agencies to which Stanford University adheres, and, at all times avoid any and all violations of these rules and standards.
Education & Work Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the content creation field, with demonstrated experience in recruiting design and/or production.
Ability to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class license.
Working conditions:
Work on weekends, evenings, holidays, and flexible shifts.
May have exposure to high voltage electricity, noise > 80dB TWA, confined spaces, and working at heights above 10 feet.

Additionally, this position must comply with University policies and procedures, NCAA, and conference rules and regulations.
The expected pay range for this position is $77,000 to $85,000 per annum.
