Responsibilities
The Senior Audiologist provides mainly diagnostic audiologic services and hearing aid/bone conduction hearing device dispensing with possible vestibular assessment, electrophysiological testing, and tinnitus management to a diversified patient population at UC Davis Health in Natomas. The Senior Audiologist will provide direct patient care in the above stated areas and other such duties as may be assigned related to clinical audiologic services. The Senior Audiologist performs duties as assigned work location and shifts. Working locations include but are not limited to Natomas Audiology Clinic, Rocklin Audiology Clinic and Glassrock Audiology Clinic.
Required Qualifications

California State Dispensing Audiologist License (AU) or eligible for licensure
Professional knowledge and clinical experience necessary to evaluate hearing in a diverse patient population with emphasis on the pediatric population.
Professional education and clinical experience necessary to interpret the results of audiologic evaluations, assess individual patients' needs for services including amplification and choose appropriate amplification.
Ability to operate audiologic equipment, including, but not limited to, two channel audiometers, middle ear analyzers, otoacoustic emissions equipment hearing aid analyzers, ABR/ASSR equipment, newborn hearing screening equipment.
Professional knowledge and clinical experience necessary to dispense hearing aids and provide ancillary hearing aid services.
Familiarity with current hearing aids and assistive listening devices including programmable/digital hearing aids and the software necessary to fit them.
Ability to assess aided hearing performance utilizing a real ear measurements, electroacoustic analysis and functional gain measurements and the knowledge to interpret the results obtained from these measurements.
Ability to make earmold impressions and the knowledge to choose appropriate earmold and custom shell designs.
Knowledge and skill necessary to perform in-office repairs and modifications on earmolds and hearing aids.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.
Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other health care providers.
Continuing professional education necessary to maintain a high level of expertise in the areas of audiology and hearing aid dispensing.
Organization skills necessary to maintain accurate records related to patient care.
Special Requirements
Must be able to work shifts as assigned by management which may be variable, include alternate shifts, overtime, weekends, etc. to cover for staffing shortages or work demands.
Working locations include but are not limited to Natomas Audiology Clinic, Rocklin Audiology Clinic and Glassrock Audiology Clinic. Must be able to travel to assigned work locations as needed.
This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
