This is an academic emergency medicine position with a faculty appointment with The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.  The faculty member is expected to have an area of academic focus in emergency medicine education or research with scholarly productivity represented by publications and grants in the area of expertise.  A minimum of 20% protected time will be allocated for academic work, depending on previous experience and funding. The physician will serve as an attending physician in the Emergency Department at the Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, Hasbro Children?s Hospital Emergency Departments and clinical work at Newport Hospital Emergency Department may be arranged depending on need.
