South End Veterinary Clinic is a privately owned, growing, full service, small animal hospital with a focus on superior patient care and communication with clients. 

We are seeking an additional full time veterinarian to join our team who should have excellent people skills and work well with a team.  Other duties include:

• Performing thorough physical exams
• Communicating findings to the client
• Generating and presenting a medical treatment plan for the pet to the client
• Treating patients with compassionate medical care
• Developing trust with clients and providing continuity of care
• Maintaining patient medical records, follow up with clients on the pet’s lab work in a timely manner.
• Always learning new medical information and staying current on the changes in veterinary medicine.
• Assisting in the development and growth of the whole team to ensure we are providing the highest standard of care.

About Us:

Southend Veterinary Clinic is a small animal practice centrally located in Charlotte, NC.  We are open five days a week and have limited Saturday hours.  We offer general and preventative care including medical, dental and surgery care.  We are dedicated to providing superior care to the pets and clients whom we serve.  

Our medical suite includes the following:

• Digital X Ray
• Digital dental X Ray
• Therapeutic laser
• CO2 Surgical laser
• Tonometry
• Cloud Based Electronic Medical Records (Evet Practice)
• In house lab as well as outside reference lab (Idexx)
• In house pharmacy
• Mobile Board-Certified Surgeon available for consults and procedures
• Moving to a newly constructed Clinic located less than a mile from the current location at the end of 2022!

We believe in treating each pet with compassionate care, communicating clearly with clients as well as within our team and contributing to the well being of not only the pets in our care but of our employees.  We encourage a healthy work/life balance including having lunch times, leaving on time and having time away from work.  

We do not take after-hours emergency calls.  In addition, we do not provide boarding or grooming service so that we can completely focus on providing the best care possible for our clients’ pets.

We are located in the heart of the growing South End area of Charlotte, NC.  After work activities are located in close proximity to our hospital such as restaurants in South End, Uptown Charlotte entertainment and sports venues, parks and Interstate 77.  Our vibrant city provides numerous locations to relax and connect with others such as The U.S. National White Water Center, Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets, Charlotte Knights (AAA) Baseball Team, Charlotte Checkers Ice Hockey, Charlotte Football Club, NASCAR, Carowinds, Discovery Place, Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens, The Billy Graham Library, gyms, spas, museums and houses of worship.  Charlotte is a desirable place to live and work.
