The Loomis Chaffee School seeks a full-time Photography and Digital Media Teacher to join the Visual Arts Department beginning in August 2025. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in photography—both digital and darkroom—with experience in camera operation, studio lighting, image editing, and visual storytelling. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro is essential, as is familiarity with digital SLR and mirrorless camera systems.

In addition to photography, the successful candidate will contribute to our broader digital media curriculum, which may include video editing and digital animation, depending on the candidate’s expertise. Experience with computer graphics or digital illustration is a plus.

Candidates should demonstrate:

• A passion for working with high school students in a creative, student-centered environment.
• A commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive classroom.
• A collaborative spirit and willingness to contribute to departmental and school-wide initiatives.

An MFA or relevant graduate degree is preferred, along with prior teaching experience at the secondary level.

Loomis Chaffee is a boarding school, and in addition to teaching, faculty members typically take on other responsibilities such as dormitory residence or affiliation and participation in the afternoon program, based on their experience and interests. On-campus housing may be available.
