Rowmark Ski Academy and Junior Program Overview
Founded as a division of Rowland Hall in 1982, Rowmark Ski Academy is a rigorous, year-round alpine ski racing program, coupled with an extraordinary academic experience. Consistently recognized as one of the country’s top ski-racing academies, Rowmark was one of the first clubs designated for US Ski & Snowboard’s Gold Certification level and has turned out many Olympians, World Champions, and NCAA All-Americans.
Rowmark Ski Academy athletes are full-time ninth through twelfth graders at Rowland Hall. Rowmark also offers a Junior Program, a three-tiered developmental program open to Rowland Hall students in third through eighth grades.
Rowmark athletes race in the Intermountain Division of US Ski & Snowboard and train at Utah Olympic Park and Park City Mountain Resort's 2002 Olympic Race Arena.
Position Summary
Rowmark Ski Academy is seeking a highly organized and proactive Team Manager to support both its Junior Program and Academy divisions. This full-time position plays a pivotal role in managing day-to-day operations and ensuring a high level of service to athletes, families, and staff. The Team Manager will oversee a wide array of responsibilities, including budget accounting, billing, communications, event coordination, social media, marketing, vehicle fleet management, and uniform logistics. Serving as a key liaison among athletes, families, coaches, Rowland Hall staff, and faculty, this individual will help maintain the operational excellence and community culture of Rowmark’s programs spanning grades one through post-graduate.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Financial Management
Manage and track budgets for the Rowmark Academy and Rowmark Junior programs
Perform monthly reconciliation of team credit card transactions
Process monthly billing to Rowmark athlete accounts
Contracts & Memberships
Execute and maintain Rowmark Academy and Rowmark Junior program contracts.
Maintain and update contracts, forms, and handbooks as necessary.
Ensure Rowmark Ski Academy is compliant with its US Ski and Snowboard membership and CLIP, insurance annually
Ensure all Rowmark staff, athletes, and parent advisory board is compliant with U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association membership requirements annually
Communication
Maintain daily communication with Rowmark athletes, families, administrative staff, faculty, and school leadership
Write seasonal articles about athlete and program achievements for school publications
Coordinate alumni communications with the Rowland Hall Director of Alumni Relations
Operations & Planning
Oversee day-to-day operations of the Rowmark office, including visitor reception, calls, emails, and advising athletes and families
Assist with planning and logistics for camps, race travel, lodging in coordination with coaches and Director
Maintain and update Rowmark athlete travel schedule by school division
Manage academic pre- and post-travel communications in collaboration with Academic Coordinators
Plan and execute special events including Orientation Weekend, Fall Banquet, and Spring Awards Banquet
Marketing & Social Media
Create original and engaging content across various platforms, including social media and the website, to promote athletes, events, and program achievements.
Partner with the Digital Communication Manager to enhance the visibility of the Rowmark brand locally and nationally
Work with the Digital Communications Manager to update and maintain the Rowmark website
General Administration
Manage Rowmark’s vehicle fleet and coordinate vehicle maintenance and annual registration
Obtain CDL within the first six months of employment
Oversee annual team jacket and merchandise ordering
Work flexible hours including events, meetings, and additional support for ski training transportation, and race support as needed
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required.
Motivation and experience to manage developmental and elite sport teams in all aspects.
Ability to work as a team with director, coaches, student/athletes, parents, school staff, and faculty.
Candidates must have strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in financial tracking, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and social media platforms.
Ability to navigate Veracross, Canvas, and other school software platforms.
Additional Information
This is a full-time exempt position with a comprehensive benefits package included, beginning July 1, 2025, and reports to the Rowmark Program Director. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
