The Office of Equal Opportunity and Access is seeking a Training and Engagement Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.
The Training and Engagement Coordinator supports the equal opportunity, affirmative action, and civil rights compliance obligations and commitments of the university by enhancing and expanding the presence of the office on campus, online, and in the broader community. Beyond working directly with the office, this position is also responsible for informing and interacting with equity, inclusion, and diversity matters across campus and in the broader community.

Typically requires Bachelor's degree required in business, public administration, training, organizational development, human resources or related field. Three years' experience in designing workshops, writing content, and/or presenting. May require professional certification.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in a field related to the duties of this position AND 1 year of professional experience coordinating, designing, and/or delivering trainings and presentations OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional training & organizational development experience.
Familiarity with and understanding of the principles and regulatory requirements related to civil rights laws, equal opportunity, and affirmative action.
Experience coordinating, designing, and/or delivering trainings and presentations.
Demonstrated commitment to equity and diversity and creating inclusive environments.
Demonstrated effectiveness in oral, written, and email communications.
Experience in the development of content in a variety of formats (e.g. websites, memos, newsletters, brochures, social media, articles, digital and print materials, etc.).
Understanding of design principles as related to the development of communication and educational materials.
Proficient with software and tools used for creating print and digital communication and educational materials.
Demonstrated ability to understand and support the strategic goals of the university articulated in the strategic plan titled Prosperity Widely Shared.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
Type:
The individual in this role will need to attend events occasionally outside of typical work hours, which may include evenings and weekends. Travel to Oregon State University sites beyond Corvallis may occasionally be required, with occasional overnight travel. Flex hours to accommodate identified and approved events will be provided. This position is intended to be a primarily in-person role, with possibility for some hybrid remote work, based on the needs of the office.
