The Georgia Senior Living Association, Inc. (GSLA) is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Manager of Education to join the Association. Founded in 1998, GSLA represents providers and industry partners as the premier senior living association in Georgia. GSLA’s provider members manage assisted living communities and personal care homes, some offering memory care neighborhoods. GSLA is a source of advocacy and education for its members.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Association’s year-round senior living industry educational opportunities.
Developing and maintaining lecturers, continuing education accreditation, budget adherence, tracking, and management are intrinsic to the coordination of education programs. This position requires strong project management skills, organizational communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The Manager of Education must formulate efficient and effective business correspondence that reflects the ideals of the Association and the directives provided. They act as a liaison between staff and the Education Committee; in tandem with the Director of Operations, they develop tools and timelines for completing tasks, partnering with colleagues for organizational planning of events. This is an exempt, full-time position. **Candidates must reside in Georgia.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in a nonprofit, association, or educational environment. GSLA offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Increase GSLA Membership and Membership features and benefits by ensuring ongoing program excellence.
Under the direction of the Director of Operations, develop ideas, new program elements, and strategies for implementing education programs.
Plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates complete GSLA educational offerings in partnership with the Director of Operations and Education Committee, including post-event activities (expense reporting, attendance verification, etc.).
Coordinates and executes the accreditation submission process for the education program (LMS, virtual, and in-person) to the various accrediting bodies. Tracks attendance, submissions, and approvals. Maintains relationships with accreditation entities and remains current on the submission process for each accrediting body. Reports data-analyzed results to administration.
Serves as an information source to membership, education attendees, and staff.
Serves as the internal contact for speakers. Collects and tracks contracts, course descriptions, audiovisual needs, and all required coursework information.
Assists with preparing and proofing all education program text for marketing and program collateral (print and digital).
In partnership with other key staff, manages education logistics of the annual conference and other on-site and virtual education settings. Coordinates signage, room sets, food & beverage, and education-based logistical needs for meetings. Develops and delivers post-education evaluations and surveys.
Represents the Association to the public at events and annual conferences.
Develop engaging relationships with members and vendors.
Additional responsibilities as requested by the President.
Skills:
Technologically savvy with proven ability to learn new software programs.
Familiarity with the senior living industry, professional trade associations, or continuing education accreditation.
Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certified Meeting Manager (CMM), Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP), or Certified Grant Writer (CSG) credential(s) a plus.
Proven ability to maintain a professional, courteous, and service-oriented attitude with speakers, members, leadership, volunteers, staff, and key vendors.
High motivation, conscientiousness, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and ability to utilize personal initiative while working independently.
Excellent writing and project management skills, and an ability to project a professional image.
Participates as a cooperative team player and possesses a team-oriented philosophy.

Preferred Qualifications:
Georgia residency required
Bachelor’s Degree
Relevant work experience (3+)
Professional Certification in project management or meeting professional coursework is desired
Working knowledge of adult learning, trade industry meetings, nonprofits, or trade associations is an advantage.
The position requires reliable internet connectivity and an uninterrupted virtual workspace environment.
Occasional travel with overnight stays is required. Dependable transportation is necessary.
