Marymount School seeks a motivated, collaborative team player for the role of Admissions Coordinator. In this leadership position, a successful candidate will interact warmly and positively with current and prospective students and families, support all aspects of the admissions and enrollment management process, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. The admissions team strives to impart to every prospective family the warm, welcoming, and empowering environment that makes Marymount unique. The Coordinator reports to the Director of Admissions, works closely with the Admissions team and collaborates regularly with the communications, business, and development teams, as well as with the divisional offices.
Responsibilities
Design ambitious recruitment plans to build a diverse pool of well-qualified applicants
Convey the value of a Marymount education with families in a nuanced and compelling way from inquiry to enrollment
Build and maintain strong external relationships with feeder schools, community organizations, and consultants
Manage key functions of the Lower School admission process, including: tours, assessments, parent interviews, school visits and events
Coordinate volunteer training, scheduling, and communications
Evaluate student applications, including ISAAGNY student reports
Strategize, plan, and execute high-quality admissions events
Represent Marymount at Admissions Fairs
Work closely on marketing initiatives and in creating/revising materials
Support reporting and operations of the admissions office
Support with the Upper School admission process as needed
Collaborate closely with all team members and perform other duties as assigned
Attend professional development and professional association meetings
Qualifications
5+ years experience in admissions, teaching, or an administrative role in independent schools, preferably early childhood through middle school
Excellent interpersonal and customer care/service skills; ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues and prospective families
Strong project management skills and ability to multitask; meticulous attention to detail
Proactive, eager to take initiative in a collaborative and dynamic environment
Flexible and adaptable, with a positive, solutions-oriented approach
Proficiency with technology including databases (Blackbaud preferred), spreadsheets, and event management platforms
Ability to analyze data to inform strategic decision making
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
