Position Summary:

The part-time Medical Director position supports the PA Program Director in ensuring that both the didactic and clinical phases of the curriculum meet current best practice standards as they relate to the Physician Assistant role in the provision of patient care.

Position Responsibilities:

• Participating in the development and review of program competencies, and clinical and technical standards

• 
  Ensuring didactic curriculum instruction and SCPEs meet current practice standards relevant to the PA role in providing patient care
  

• 
  Participate, as needed, in program committees
  

• 
  Participate in the ongoing assessment of the program
  

• 
  Provide instruction as needed
  

• 
  Precept students on clinical rotations if assigned
  

Experience & Educational Background:

• Must be a currently licensed allopathic or osteopathic physician in NY State or with NY State eligibility

• 
  Must be certified by an ABMS- or AOA-approved specialty board
  

Salary Range:

$40,000 - $40,000
