This position is location in Cuyahoga County, Cleveland, OH.

Utilize knowledge of agriculture and project management skills to direct, coordinate, implement all components of the City of Cleveland's Summer Sprout community gardening program.

Administrative functions include database management, phone and digital communications, budget management, submitting project recommendations, and monthly reporting to support approximately 175 gardens and 2,000 gardeners. Other functions of collecting garden applications, facilitating the purchase of garden supplies, coordinating annual tilling services, coordinating an annual garden kick-off, and collecting soil samples are integral project responsibilities.

The Summer Sprout Program Coordinator serves as the connector between the City of Cleveland, OSU, and community gardeners, communicating directly with City of Cleveland Department of Community Development administrators, City of Cleveland Land Bank administrators, OSU fiscal managers, local agriculture businesses, volunteers, and gardeners on a regular basis. This position supports one summer intern by assigning tasks, establishing deadlines, and monitoring work schedules. Outreach, marketing, problem-solving, and infrequent site visits provide opportunities for networking and to share best practices that help make this program a success.

Applicant must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends; ability to travel throughout the county in personal transportation (mileage to be reimbursed according to university policy). This is a grant funded position.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

The pay range for this profile is $24.52 - $32.21/hourly. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, units available budget, and the candidates qualifications.
