Oklahoma Christian is looking to hire two graduate assistants; one for Athletics Communications and one for Creative Content.

The Athletics Communications graduate assistant will be the primary contact for a select number of sports as decided on between the graduate assistant and the Director of Athletics Communications, as well as assisting with other sports and aspects of the athletic department. The candidate should have strong sports writing skills and ability to work well with coaches and peers/student workers. Knowledge of NCAA Live Stats and Adobe InDesign is a plus. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, the maintenance of the athletic department web page, desktop publishing, writing game day stories and feature stories, game day setup and assisting with the production of OC's live stream through FloCollege. Travel is at the discretion of the Director of Athletics Communications.

The Creative Content graduate assistant will work under the Director of Athletics Communications, being responsible for creating gameday graphics, final score graphics and weekly award graphics. A strong working knowledge Adobe Photoshop is a must. Experience with video editing and photography is a plus. Applicant should be familiar with social media including Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with gameday operations as decided on between the graduate assistant and the Director of Athletics Communications. Travel is at the discretion of the Director of Athletics Communications. Applicant must be available to work evenings and weekends and some holidays as required.

The position is contingent on application and admission into Oklahoma Christian’s Graduate School. The candidate must have strong computer skills and be highly organized with the ability to multi-task. A strong writing/graphics background and communication skills are a must. Previous experience as a sports information student assistant at the collegiate level is preferred. Applicants must have the ability and willingness to work long hours including nights, weekends and certain holiday breaks.
