RESEARCHER LEAD

As a Researcher Lead, this emerging leader role will require you to spearhead major research projects and lead a team of researchers towards achieving significant scientific goals. Your responsibilities will include strategic planning, project management, and ensuring the alignment of research activities with organizational objectives. You will play a critical role in mentoring junior researchers, fostering a collaborative research environment, and representing the research team at national and international forums. Depending on the research focus, this position may involve research participant contact, research animal contact, and/or specimens.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist and lead with molecular and cell biological experiments

• Animal care

• Grant writing

• Lab management

• Collect and analyze data.

• Advance project studying neurogenesis in the context of Alzheimer's disease into other model systems and organs of interest. Assist with grant writing.

• Assist with ordering lab supplies and maintaining animal colonies.

• Teach and mentor new graduate and undergraduate students.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Work Characteristics

• Master's or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, or other related field upon starting the position. Preferences Candidates having prior experience with molecular/cell biology, embryology, neuroscience, and/or organoid or mouse model systems are preferred.

• Must be comfortable with confocal microscopy and quantitative data analysis.

Salary Range: $52,555-58,000

Education

• Master's degree in a related field and one (1) years of related experience

• OR Bachelor's degree in related field and three (3) years of related experience

• OR Associate's degree in related field and five (5) years of related experience required.

• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
