The University of Kentucky Libraries is seeking a Digital Library Developer to join the Digital Strategies and Technology unit. This position plays a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of applications and services that enhance the discovery and access to the University's digital collections. Responsibilities include creating, supporting, and improving software applications for the Libraries' digital library systems, as well as tools that assist with internal workflows and operations. The Digital Library Developer will collaborate closely with Libraries colleagues to design, build, and maintain both open-source and third-party tools, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Skills /Knowledge/Abilities:
Computer Programming in OOP languages like Python, PHP, and Java.
Database administration skills
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work successfully in a collaborative, changing environment

Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related degree, or related experience.
Proficiency in software development and web programming
