The John Glenn College of Public Affairs is a leading public affairs college that conducts rigorous academic research and translates and applies that research for public, nonprofit, and private partners. Public safety is a growing area of expertise within the college with multiple faculty and students involved in criminal justice research projects, and an array of technical assistance and training partnerships with criminal justice organizations. The Research Administration Management Senior Analyst will collaborate with the Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist, Glenn College faculty, students, and staff members to independently identify, develop, submit, secure, and manage federal, state, local, and foundation grants for funding to conduct research and provide technical assistance across a diverse portfolio of criminal justice administration projects of large scale. Requires deep job knowledge of law enforcement.
Duties Description:
Project Management - Lead and co-manage grant/contract projects from proposal and inception through completion with limited oversight. Monitor timelines, budgets, progress reports, and deliverables to meet funder requirements and recommend course corrections to schedule, resources, or cost as needed. Ensure project results align with quality, schedule, and cost standards. Co-manage project teams and act as liaison to consultants, partner agencies, and sponsors.
Research Translation and Dissemination Assist research team with translating complex research findings to practitioner audiences by participating in on-site agency partner meetings and presentations, and developing and delivering presentations to practitioner audiences.
Provide law enforcement expertise as a subject matter expert to researchers and agency partners.
Technical report writing: contribute to the development of written products, including technical reports, policy briefs, and white papers of diverse scope that concisely and clearly describe research activities.
Grant Writing - support researchers in writing federal and other grant proposals.
Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, public administration, public policy, or other relevant field. 4 years of relevant experience required in sworn law enforcement, first-line police supervision required. Experience in project management. Familiarity with overseeing and managing projects funded by local and federal government agencies. Experience providing training and technical assistance to law enforcement agencies.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree in relevant field is preferred. 4-8 years of relevant experience with executive level leadership. Experience directing, managing, supervising, and implementing programs and projects of diverse nature. Knowledge of evidence-based policing, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making. Expertise in law enforcement policy, training, organizational structure, and technology. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex insights into actionable strategies. Experience managing projects funded by local and federal government agencies, particularly Department of Justice.

This is a grant funded one-year term position with a potential to be extended, based on funding and performance.
The salary range for this position will be $64,300.00 to $84,550.00 to be determined by internal equity, budget, and the candidate's education and experience.
