Overview
The Project Manager, Capstone Programs will be the key resource in managing administrative and academic operations for the Department of Technology Management and Innovations award-winning academic capstone programs, which are delivered in collaboration with industry partners, enroll hundreds of students every academic year. This position will serve as the project manager for all operational aspects of capstone administration for the departments B.S. and M.S. programs under the direction of academic program directors . This includes: industry partner relations, student project placements, project lifecycle tracking, workflow management, database creation/management, logistics, communications, data maintenance, and report generation. Position will supervise activities and schedules of capstone student workers. This position will work collaboratively with capstone faculty and academic program directors to ensure to ensure overall efficient and effective operations for all capstone projects within the department.
Responsibilities
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related area
Preferred Education: Master's Degree
Required Experience: 5+ years Project/Data Management, Industry Relations/Corporate Partnerships with Institutions or Higher Education, Higher Education Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Must demonstrate the ability to work as a team member; to think creatively; and to evaluate and improve existing process and procedures. Must have strong and polished interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Creative, strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to manage multiple projects. Proficiency with Salesforce and project management software (Asana). Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and knowledge of other PC programs. Must be able to comprehend and follow a diverse set of verbally communicated operational procedures with little guidance or training, self-manageable. Must be comfortable and professional in conducting business by telephone, virtually, and in person. Demonstrated success in effective multitasking, trouble shooting, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines. Position demands significant attention to detail, effective communications, team collaboration. Ability to travel between campuses and partner sites if needed and must be willing to work weekends and evening.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Advanced/Expert knowledge of Salesforce and project management software (Asana) is highly preferred. Experience in project management highly preferred. Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $80,000.00 to USD $100,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
