Corgan is actively recruiting experienced Project Leaders to join the firm as part of our Aviation team in either our Dallas, Los Angeles, Seattle, Phoenix, San Antonio, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, or Orlando office locations. Tackle these responsibilities alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate to achieve outstanding results. Responsibilities:
Continue to build the firm’s aviation practice by providing design expertise while growing and mentoring a team of talented architects and designers
Provide high level guidance to project teams throughout all project phases
Responsible for the development and implementation of projects, while also pursuing business development efforts within the office location
Collaborate and strategize with our Aviation Market Sector Leader and other leadership on project pursuits to maintain existing client relationships and establish new business
Commitment to design excellence and ingenuity, as well as outstanding service to existing and new clients
Exceed client and business objectives by inspiring and motivating a team, developing their skills and encouraging professional growth to continue cultivating our presence in the local market
Develop competitive fee structures reflecting defined scope of services for project pursuits
Establish and manage project schedules
Oversee the completion of projects on time and within fee budget
Lead and encourage open dialogue with project team regarding design and technical ideation and facilitate appropriate solutions
Oversee administration of construction phase procedures and documentation (shop drawings/submittals, requests for information, and addenda/clarifications)
Oversee development and presentation of appropriate technical solutions to project stakeholders
Attend and conduct presentations
Drive each project team to seek innovation in design solutions in an ongoing spirit of curiosity, continuous improvement, and increased project performance
Develop effective project directives, outlines, projections, schedules, and strategies over the course of the project
Identify solutions and effectively resolve technical challenges
Understand and apply appropriate industry standards and construction practices
Oversee quality assurance processes and quality control of project documents
Demonstrate, share, and appropriately apply, new methodologies, practices, codes, and products
Manage client relations
Provide leadership to staff
Qualifications:
A professional, NAAB accredited degree in Architecture is required
12+ years experience in the aviation market sector
holds professional registration
Strong organizational, time management and communication skills
Candidate should have experience of regular and successful interaction with a variety of clients and possess a flexible attitude with the ability to collaborate and encourage collaboration in a team environment
Qualified candidates should exhibit a strong aptitude for business development, strategic leadership skills, presentation skills and high self-motivation
Large airport terminal experience or experience managing large teams on large-scale projects required
Thorough understanding of how a drawing set goes together
Acumen for how things are built and constructibility, and the ability to apply that knowledge to support the project design and budget
Experience managing a variety of consultants and contractors
Proficiency or experience with managing overall project fees and schedules
Exhibit strong marketing and client relations experience and capabilities
Confident presentation ability
Efficient with coordinating project deliverables and client expectations
Flexible attitude and ability to juggle multiple priorities is essential

Base Salary Range:
$120,000- $190,000 annually – Los Angeles locations only
$122,000 - $200,000 annually – New York City locations only
$117,000 - $190,000 annually - Chicago locations only
$114,000 – $190,000 annually - Seattle locations only
$115,000 - $192,000 annually - Washington DC locations only
$108,000 – $180,000 annually - Denver locations only
The estimate range represents the general base salary range of candidates hired in locations as listed only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. In addition, base salary is not inclusive of total compensation.
