Job Description:
What We're Looking For
Significant experience in progressively responsible roles required, specifically in facilities management preferred.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills with experience managing diverse teams, including skilled trades personnel.
Exceptional organizational and administrative skills, including budgeting, quality assurance, and program evaluation.
Experience developing bid documents and managing contracts for goods and services.
Familiarity with Project Management Systems and Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a focus on fostering collaboration and communication.
Knowledge of sustainability practices and commitment to advancing environmental initiatives.
The ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
Knowledge and experience working with a diverse population is preferred
What You'll Be Doing
Overseeing campus facilities programs for custodial, grounds, transportation, and waste management to ensure operational excellence.
Developing long-range plans to improve services and address campus needs proactively.
Creating and implementing policies for safety, preventative maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
Supervising and mentoring staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
Managing budgets for facilities programs and ensuring services are delivered within financial constraints.
Coordinating with contractors and vendors for large-scale projects and monitoring quality assurance.
Leading campus sustainability efforts, including planning events, supervising sustainability initiatives, and promoting eco-conscious practices.
Acting as a liaison across campus departments to resolve operational issues and foster a customer-focused culture.
Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement. In addition, staff agree to live in agreement with PLNU's Community Life Covenant.

Physical Requirements:
The work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for extended periods of time.
Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
Vision to read documents, email and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor.
Ability to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone. Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift to 10 lbs. throughout the day.
