The Senior Business Systems Analyst in ITS plays the lead role in the ongoing operations and in the design, development, associated security, documentation, and maintenance of dozens of applications in the shared ITS instance of the Slate CRM. The individual partners with stakeholders across dozens of campus departments to ensure stable, secure, and appropriate Slate solutions. The individual provides technical expertise and leads the support for the graduate admissions offices♠instances of Slate, coordinating regular meetings to share knowledge, recommend best practices, and troubleshoot issues. The role also includes the development of technical documentation for projects in Slate.
The position reports to the Director of CRM and ERP Operations and Implementations. As a member of the ITS team, the individual will collaborate and assist other members of the department as needed to help Brandeis achieve its technology-related goals.
This is a hybrid role and will require some work at our Waltham, MA campus.
Primary Responsibilities
University Solutions (60%)
Lead, build, maintain, and support projects within the shared ITS instance of the Slate CRM, working with dozens of campus partners.
Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions.
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a projectâ™s scope.
Manage client expectation and scope changes effectively.
Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
Oversee the portfolio of Slate projects, tracking multiple project attributes including clients, business needs, functionality delivered (e.g., custom dataset; communications; events; forms; payments; portal).
Establish and maintain productive relationships with functional leaders across campus to ensure alignment of ITS efforts with business needs. Continually define ways to increase the Brandeis communityâ™s satisfaction with ITS, to deepen relationships across the University, and to promote ITS capabilities, services, and tools to the community.
Graduate Admissions Solutions (25%)
Serve as the ITS lead in the support the graduate admissions offices♠instances of Slate and coordinate regular meetings to share knowledge and troubleshoot issues. Advise and serve as an internal consultant in leading the development of Slate best practices. Assist in implementing system integrations as needed.
Provide Slate technical consulting to the graduate admissions offices as programmatic decisions are made to add, sunset, and shift programs. Oversee recommendations stemming from technical audits of the Slate instances, seeking to reduce technical debt.
Vendor and Consultant Oversight (5%)
Provide oversight to external Slate consultants in the execution of select Slate projects for clients.
Serve as the primary liaison for support requests escalated to the vendor, Technolutions.
 Salesforce and Related CRM Tools Suite (10%)
As needed and in conjunction with the CRM team, provide user and technical support for Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot), Linvio, and Salesforce (ascend) Community User Portal.
Assist users with questions related to configuring email communications (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement) and events (Linvio and Community User Portal). Assist with configuration changes and enhancement projects as needed.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in computer science, information systems, or other relevant discipline
A minimum of five to seven years experience in related discipline Â
Experience working with admissions processes and systems required
Higher education experience and project management experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript and HTML preferred, but not required
Knowledge of Salesforce, Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, or Linvio highly desirable but not required.
Strong customer service and communication skills required.
Strong understanding of data management principles, including data integrity, integration, and reporting.
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will have Slate Admin experience with developing and supporting all aspects of Slate including features such as portals, security roles, query bases, datasets and other advanced features. The individual is collaborative, able to build strong working relationships, is customer service oriented, possesses strong leadership skills, and has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
