You'll be part of the Marketing and Communications team in the Office of University Development (OUD). You will oversee the daily, hands-on development of email marketing campaigns for OUD and its partners and web content development for OUD's web properties. You will contribute to OUD's positive culture and adhere to OUD's values of diversity, equity, and inclusion by ensuring that we adhere to email and web accessibility best practices. Reports to: Assistant Director of Digital Marketing
Email Communications Execution (65%)
Coordinate and maintain email marketing by working with our Marketing & Communications team project managers, including monitoring of schedules to guarantee a thoughtful email production and proofing process, and deployment
Develop email marketing campaigns and activities, including building and maintaining email templates, proofing and QA, deployment, and metrics reporting
Conduct A/B testing
Assure automated campaigns complete according to their defined strategies/parameters.
Web Content Development and Maintenance (25%)
Work with our Marketing and Communications teams to execute content strategy
Upload stories and news to the Michigan Giving website via a content management system, including submissions from U-M Schools, Colleges, Campuses and Units, "Leaders & Best", and other partner content, and work with the Marketing and Communications teams to make edits.
Create and update content on the development community intranet (DevConnect) including the "In The Know" monthly newsletter, quarterly financial reports, and quarterly stories.
Perform quality assurance reviews on stories added to the Michigan Giving website.
Support the creation of landing pages and other forms of web content in close collaboration with writers and designers.
Escalating Lessons Learned to Strategic & Tactical Leadership (5%)
Create dashboards and reports of key performance indicators for Marketing & Communications and its partners
Report on quarterly metrics to the Digital Marketing team, highlighting changes from previous quarters.
Work with the Assistant Director of Digital Marketing to ensure strategic goals are being met and advise on ongoing improvements

3+ years professional experience or a bachelor's degree in a communications or technology related field
Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS)
Proficient in HTML and CSS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including careful attention to grammar and spelling
Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace including championing email and web accessibility best practices
