This position is responsible for supervising the district engineering group, which provides the engineering required to extend, improve, and maintain the Association’s electric distribution system.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
A Manager I performs the functions with the mentorship of direct supervisor.
A Manager II meets all the requirements of a Manager I and masters all functions.
ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Manager I
Qualified candidates for this position are required to have:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Five (5) years of relevant electric utility experience in design, inspection, or construction.
- A valid driver’s license and a driving record, which is acceptable by the Association’s Driving Policy and insurable by the Association and the Association’s insurance carrier at standard group rates.
Preference may be given to candidates with:
- Two (2) years supervisory and/or management experience.
- Extensive experience with iVUE’s CIS and ABS modules.
- Alaska Professional Engineering License or obtain within one (1) year of hire.
- Proficiency with RUS construction specifications.
- Prior experience administering and interpreting collective bargaining agreements.
Manager II
Qualified candidates for this position are required to have:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Seven (7) years of relevant electric utility experience in design, inspection, or construction.
- Three (3) years of supervision and/or management experience.
- Alaska Professional Engineering License.
- A valid driver’s license and a driving record, which is acceptable by the Association’s Driving Policy and insurable by the Association and the Association’s insurance carrier at standard group rates.
Preference may be given to candidates with:
- Extensive experience with iVUE’s CIS and ABS modules.
- Proficiency with RUS construction specifications.
