Position Information: Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Development, School of Business Administration (SoBA) and in coordination with the Senior Executive Director for Constituent Programs, the incumbent is responsible for planning, development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising program that will result in the generation of private support including foundation and individual giving for the University with a focus on the School of Business Administration (SoBA). The Associate Director is responsible for development initiatives aimed at growing a pipeline of leadership, annual giving prospects, major gift fundraising and supporting the overall development efforts of the University. The Associate Director of Development will work closely with students, alumni, and parent volunteers. Has strong communication skills and professional ethics. Expected to manage a portfolio of donors and prospects. The position is expected to qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospective donors, increase the overall number of donors to the school, and solicit leadership annual gifts in support of the school's priorities. This position is expected to assist in planning and managing development type events.
The full salary range for the Associate Director of Development, School of Business is $81,500 - $150,100 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $81,500 - $85,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Thorough working knowledge of fundraising, donor relations, and public relations concepts, principles, procedures, and techniques.
Strong organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills, including skills in creative and effective decision-making and problem identification/avoidance/resolution, and project management skills.
Strong skills in maintaining confidentiality.
Thorough working knowledge of the location, its vision, mission, goals, objectives, achievements and infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, etc.
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills to establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the organization and with outside constituencies.
