1. Serves as point of contact for day to day activities involving the facilities planning, physical plant, environmental systems, custodial services, grounds maintenance, utilities, fire safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Yale trades, and external contractors. 2. Monitors conditions of all buildings and space. As the first responder to repair requests, assesses and responds to requests received daily as initiated by faculty, staff, visitors and students. 3. Inspects and monitors all mechanical system equipment. Investigates system malfunctions and take action to resolve. Tracks/reports on facilities related problems. Schedules routine maintenance and repair. 4. Submits requests for facilities/custodial services to appropriate university departments and the assigned Facilities Stewart. Monitors to ensure repairs/services have been completed in a timely and satisfactory manner. 5. Serves as liaison with facilities planners and project managers on all renovations. Coordinates service continuity and utility shutdowns with affected users. Coordinates access to service areas and otherwise restricted spaces. Assists in inspecting projects to ensure timely and satisfactory completion of work. 6. Oversees building access and security programs for supported departments. 7. Participates in budget discussions to ensure necessary resources are available to sustain baseline operations. 8. Oversees temporary staff during peak activity times. 9. May maintain inventories of departmental space or moveable equipment, oversee mail services, shipping and receiving functions, and provide media support services. 10. May perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Education: 2 years experience monitoring building systems, grounds; familiarity with the operation of valve/damper actuators, pressure transducers, and air quality monitors to detect abnormalities/malfunctions; knowledge of building mechanical systems Metasys (Johnson Controls), Crestron, Nyson. Proven experience managing museum building systems and with facility preservation issues. Strong computer skills.
