Key School seeks a full-time Upper School math teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. The primary responsibilities of this position include teaching four sections of Math (three preparations), serving as an advisor to a group of 8-10 students, and supporting our student-led activity program.
Job Responsibilities:
Teach four sections of Upper School math (including semester electives)
Advise a group of 8-10 students
Perform duties such as study hall, library proctor, etc.
Collaborate with math colleagues in the Upper School and other divisions
The Ideal Candidate Possesses the Following Characteristics:
Educational background in math and experience teaching math at the Upper School level. (Experience in Computer Science is preferred, though not necessary)

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; Master’s degree preferred
Two to three years of classroom teaching experience

Daily teaching responsibilities and other duties would require employees to move around a mid-size campus with uneven pavement, sit and stand for long periods of time during the school day; lift/carry boxes up to 25 pounds; and the ability to maneuver as necessary within a regular classroom and office setting.

Key School follows a Faculty Equity Scale that recognizes direct years of experience that correlate to the steps on the scale. The salary range for this position is $46,820-$88,035 and is based upon several factors that include, but are not limited to, the candidate’s years of work experience, education and skills. There are additional opportunities on campus for coaching and various stipends, as well.
Technical Competencies:
All candidates for teaching positions should be familiar with learning management systems such as Google Classroom and have the ability to create and deliver engaging multimedia content using a variety of digital tools. Key is a Google Workspace for Education school. Candidates should be proficient in using Google applications, have a solid understanding of cloud-based storage and file-sharing platforms, and efficiently manage email and scheduling using Gmail and Google Calendar. They should be proficient in virtual communication tools such as Zoom or Google Meet and have basic troubleshooting skills to resolve common technical issues that may arise in the classroom.
Work Schedule/Travel:
Occasionally, there may be business and school functions that will require your presence to work flexible hours, including nights and/or weekends and travel outside of Annapolis.
