The position of Medical Assistant Lab Instructoris a pooled position and applications will be reviewed on an as needed, on-going basis.

As a Part-Time Medical Assistant Lab Instructor, under the supervision of the Allied Health Coordinator, you will be tasked with assisting in lab and clinical instruction approximately 8-12 hours a week (subject to change). This role requires a comprehensive understanding of current best practices in MA standards, care, and protocols. This position requires traveling to clinical sites with students in Douglas County. Moreover, the clinical lab instructor must maintain a high level of safety and exercise oversight to ensure the safety of students. Under rare circumstances, the lab instructor must also be available to assist in didactic instruction.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimal Qualifications:
Possess a current Certified Clinical Medical Assisting (CCMA) certificate.
Be academically and experientially qualified for the level of appointment.[CG1]
Successful completion of a criminal history clearance.
Successful completion of a healthcare drug screening.
Current Healthcare Provider BLS card by start date.
Immunizations as outlined by the Oregon Health Authority.
Proficiency with instructional and industry technology within 6 months (i.e. word processing, e-mail, learning management system, digital and social media).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in nursing or another health care related field from an accredited college or university and two years recent, full-time work experience in a professional medical office
OR ?
Associate degree in healthcare related coursework from an accredited college and 3 (three) years recent, full-time work experience in a professional medical office or other clinical facility.
