General Purpose: The CRM and Data Analytics Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight, technical leadership, and day-to-day management of MICA's CRM system and reporting for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions, and Open Studies. This role ensures the CRM effectively supports student recruitment and admissions efforts while driving data-informed decision-making. The Manager develops and executes reports for senior leadership, manages external data integrations, and oversees reporting pertinent to workflows and the efficacy of drip campaigns, admission decisions, counselor interactions, and events/visits attendance. The CRM and Data Analytics Manager supervises the Senior Admission Data Operations Specialist position.
This role requires a proactive leader with expertise in CRM administration, data analytics, and communication strategy. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver committed to advancing MICA's mission through innovative technology and data practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
CRM Management:
Serve as the technical expert and administrator for the CRM system, managing user creation, core functionality, and reporting.
Design and deliver end-user training and ensure clear documentation of processes, data governance, and best practices.
Implement system upgrades, conduct testing, and stay current on CRM updates, best practices, and data integrity standards.
Oversee data uploads and downloads involving perspective, inquiry, and applicant data, ensuring seamless integration between the CRM, external sources, and the Student Information System.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align CRM functionalities with institutional goals and identify areas for system enhancements.
Support form building and data capture approaches in support of enrollment teams related to event scheduling, registration processes, and related functionalities within the CRM to support recruitment initiatives.
Data Analytics:
Utilize tools such as Tableau to collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to support strategic objectives.
Develop actionable insights and data-driven strategies to enhance the student experience and optimize recruitment and admissions outcomes.
Create and maintain dashboards and reports that communicate key performance indicators and emerging trends.
Develop reports on the efficacy of communication workflows, including drip campaigns, personalized messaging, and admission decision notifications.
Provide timely and relevant insights to stakeholders using CRM and analytics data to inform decision-making and improve institutional performance.
Other Responsibilities:
Participates as an area representative for Enrollment Management in broader data stewardship and institutional reporting efforts at the campus.
Support institutional goals by performing additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated experience working with CRM systems and industry-standard data analytic tools
Demonstrate proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
Utilize HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to enhance and customize CRM interfaces and reports.
Strong analytical skills
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written communication and copy editing skills
Strong project management skills
Ability to collaborate and work both effectively with a diverse team of individuals and independently to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced, fluid environment
Minimum qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in a related field such as communications, marketing, or computer science
Relevant experience in data analytics and reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with higher education enrollment marketing using Slate or similar CRM
Familiarity with data and application sources such as CommonApp, standard test scores, and purchased lists
Experience with student information systems such as PeopleSoft
