The purpose of the Graphic Design & Operations Coordinator position is to design digital graphics and print collateral used by UND Athletics. Projects may include posters, pocket schedules, annual reports, recruiting and camps materials, fan guides, social media graphics and animations, stationery, signage and environmental graphics. This position plays a key role in producing original graphics content for UND Athletics and the management & oversight of the UND Athletics photography studio. This position serves as the primary person in direct oversight of the creation, coordination, and digital management of all graphics. This position will use creative license to formulate, affect, and implement operating practices related to graphic design and will assist the Associate Athletics Director for Marketing & Communication. Invention, imagination, originality, and talent must be exercised by the employee on a daily basis.
This position will use discretion and independent judgement. Must have commitment to compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations. Must provide support and encouragement and ensure the safety and well-being of the student-athletes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Digital Production
Design and produce engaging digital content for gameday, including social media graphics, website banners, and email newsletters.
Design and produce recruiting graphics as requested by teams and approved by Associate AD of Marketing/Communications and Compliance.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative concepts & campaigns that enhance the fan experience.
Design and update digital displays for athletic facilities, including, but not limited to, scoreboards, LED screens, and video boards.
Work closely with the facilities team to ensure displays are visually appealing and aligned with branding guidelines.
Provide on-site support during UND athletics gamedays to manage & troubleshoot digital content and displays.
Coordinate with the event management team to ensure all digital elements are executed smoothly.
Ensure all digital content and displays adhere to the organization's branding standards & guidelines.
Continuously seek ways to innovate and improve the visual presentation of gameday content.
Work closely with the athletic department staff, coaches and other internal & external stakeholders to gather content requirements and feedback.
Participate in regular team meetings to discuss upcoming events, projects, and creative ideas.
Review and analyze the performance of digital content and displays after each event.
Provide insights and recommendations for future improvements based on data and feedback.
Digital Asset Management
Create and maintain a library of digital assets, including logos, player photos, and promotional materials.
Ensure all digital assets are up-to-date, tagged, and accessible for use across various platforms.
Archive game photos to permanent back-up (server) and UND online Digital Asset Management Software (currently Canto).
Coordinate with Campus Marketing to maintain integrity of University’s Digital Asset Management Software account, including assigning tasks to departmental users, granting access to accounts, maintaining portals, and distributing assets.
Photography and Photography Studio Management
Manage, schedule and oversee usage of UND Athletics photo/video studio room.
Maintain online schedule of photos/studio room.
Take professional-level photos in studio.
Edit photographs using Photoshop/Lightroom/Camera Raw.
Utilize artistic knowledge to enhance & compose photographs.
Operate and maintain digital camera, backdrops, studio lights, and other equipment used in the operation of studio room.
Print Production
Design & order print materials for UND athletic team-sanctioned camps (i.e., postcards, flyers).
Design & order print materials for marketing collateral as determined by marketing department.
Design T-shirts and other promotional items as requested by marketing department.
Collaborate with Associate Athletic Director for Marketing & Communications and the Licensing Coordinator on the design of athletic facility graphics, as requested.
Other duties as assigned by Associate Athletic Director for Marketing & Communications and/or athletic department senior staff.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Graphic Design.
1 year of experience in graphic design.
Experience with Adobe Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
Valid Driver’s License.
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check (CHBC).
