As a Full-Time ExemptDean of Instruction - Career and Technical Education,you will support the mission of the college and Academic Services? priorities. This position provides leadership, support, and oversight for the CTE programs at Umpqua Community College (UCC), focusing on program quality, workforce development, and student success. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality instruction, strengthening relationships with secondary education partners, expanding community partnerships, advancing workforce development initiatives, and promoting student success. The Dean collaborates with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to align CTE programs with the evolving needs of industry and the college?s strategic goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in higher education, business, health sciences, public safety, applied sciences, technology, or related field.
Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive and successful academic leadership in program development and management (ideally in CTE).
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain partnerships with industry partners and community organizations.
Proven problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze challenges, develop innovative solutions, and implement strategies to achieve institutional and programmatic goals.
Strong project management and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation.
Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:
Community College experience in CTE is preferred.
Knowledge of the unique CTE challenges in rural settings is a plus.
