The Staff Assistant, Engagement Events, works under the direction of the Associate Director of Engagement Events and is responsible for coordinating and managing assigned office projects. Duties may include but are not limited to: providing ticket and RSVP management, student project management, administrative support, event logistics, space reservation, vendor ordering and payment, support event marketing including invitations, social media, webpages, websites, mailing preparations, answering phones for the advancement office, and other special projects as assigned.? Night and weekend work will be required as the event schedule dictates, daily office hours may be adjusted to accommodate flexibility during peak event periods.

Required Qualifications:
One to three years of previous work in events
Strong organizational skills and experience working with multiple teams
Possess good judgment, effective decision-making, and problem-resolution skills; experience recognizing real/potential challenges and resolving or escalating issues as appropriate
Experience with and ability to maintain confidential information and material
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferably in communications, events, or a related field
Demonstrates initiative by proactively identifying tasks, setting measurable goals, and effectively prioritizing responsibilities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Raisers’ Edge
One to three years of previous experience in the management of volunteers
Experience working with the public and external vendors
Ability to write concisely to express thoughts clearly and to develop ideas in logical sequence
Proficiency in Windows/Microsoft Office computer applications
Working Conditions:
This is a hybrid position in Salem, MA that requires occasional evening and weekend commitments.
