**Exempt position-Inital salary based on knowledge and experience**

Responsibilities: 

• Assists in the development and preparation of SCADA system components, programming, and operator screen development.
• Assists in the preparation of substation remote terminal unit programming, development, and commissioning.
• Provide technical support and guidance to field technicians during system installation, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Assists in the selection and procurement of protective relay, SCADA, and distribution automation equipment.
• Assists in project management tasks and document control.
• Flexibility in learning other areas of Protection and Control including, but not limited to, relays, system sectionalizing, and distribution automation.
• Ability to function well as a contributor in a team and independent environments.

Required Qualifications:  

• Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Engineering Technology from an EAC/ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
• Knowledge of SCADA system applications, Survalent background is preferred.
• Strong verbal communications skills that involve interacting with engineers, outside contractors, and field crews.
• Strong written communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Two or more years of electric utility experience. 
• Knowledge of DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850, and ICCP protocols.
• Knowledge of SEL-RTAC and Novatech Orion equipment and configuration.
• Knowledge of power systems' general properties and fundamentals.
• Obtained or pursuing registration as a Professional Engineer.
