About the Opportunity
The Accounting Group of the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University invites applications for an open non-tenure track faculty position to be located at the Oakland, California Campus of the university, with employment beginning in August 2025. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with teaching, research, and service responsibilities. Appointment will be made at the Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor level, depending on qualifications and experience.

Summary of Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels in accounting and/or related subjects; participate in service to the Accounting Group, D'Amore-McKim School of Business, Northeastern University, and the discipline; and develop an appropriate independent research program necessary to achieve and maintain AACSB qualification as a Scholarly Academic.
Teaching in our undergraduate program (60%)
Research to maintain scholarly academic status (20%)
Services to the Accounting Group, DMSB and the University (20%)
Qualifications: Candidates must have a doctorate in Accounting or a closely related field by the appointment start date. Candidates for appointment at the Associate Teaching Professor level must have at least 4 years of college teaching and/or professional experience. Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching and research, and must have a background in or commitment to working with diverse student populations and/or in culturally diverse work and educational environments. The expected hiring range for Assistant Teaching Professor is USD $124,500 to $197,000 upon the position's scope and responsibilities. The expected hiring range for Associate Teaching Professor is USD $153,000 to $219,400 based upon the position's scope and responsibilities. The expected hiring range for Professor is USD $162,900 to USD $229,000 based upon the position's scope and responsibilities.
