Responsible for administratively managing a University department under the general direction of a functional Program Director or under the auspices of a Program Advising Committee and according to an established program plan. May participate in developing program objectives and is responsible for achieving objectives within defined parameters set by university and/or department policies and procedures or technical principles. May require fiscal management of grants and other funds. May manage multiple programs. Requires the use of independent judgment to determine the best approach to accomplish objectives established in the program plan. May supervise staff as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Contact nursing homes, long-term care facilities, standalone senior centers, K-12 schools, homeless shelters, and childcare centers in Alabama regarding HEPA purifiers and filters
Assist in the planning and coordination of various infection prevention events, including the Antibiotic Stewardship Symposium, dialysis simulation training, and annual and mini boot camps focused on infection prevention topics
Provide logistical and administrative support for the Alabama Regional Center for Infection Prevention and Control (ARC IPC) and the Long-term Care Strike Team as needed
Create and design marketing materials for IPC-related events, such as flyers, brochures, and digital content
Assist in the coordination and promotion of ARC IPC events, including drafting promotional content and providing event support
Input and manage data related to infection prevention and control
Assist with the development and generation of data reports for evaluation and assessment of infection prevention programs and initiatives
Provide general administrative support in the development, implementation, and management of infection prevention programs
Other activities as needed for the Alabama Regional Center for Infection Prevention and Control and Long-term Care Strike Team
Perform other duties as assigned
Annual Salary: $43,890-$71,320
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, with a focus in EpidemiologyPrior experience in infection prevention and control is highly desirable.
