The Senior Associate -or- Vice President, Fund and Investor Reporting is an integral member of the Fund and Investor Reporting team, primarily responsible for (i) quarterly investor reports and (ii) recurring and ad-hoc operational and financial performance requests from existing and prospective investors and the consulting community. The Senior Associate will also be responsible for the accountability for the third-party fund administrator and review of quarterly financial results.
In addition, this role will also ensure that investors receive all requested information in an accurate, timely and courteous manner and support other groups with timely data to support the operations and efforts of the firm.
This role will gain an understanding of the various investment vehicles managed by Affinius Capital and the diverse real estate attribution reporting and accounting metrics provided to investors, consultants and internal stakeholders. Your key responsibilities
Act as the primary point person and conduit between the firm and Global Investors Group, Portfolio Management and Third-Party Fund Administrator and internal stakeholders for assigned commingled funds and/or separate accounts
Quarterly investor reporting – Produce quarterly investor reports in Workiva by working closely with Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Third Party Fund Administrators and other teams to assemble and process operational and financial data required for disclosure and reporting purposes
Quarterly and ad hoc supplementary reporting – Review recurring and ad hoc investor and consultant inquiries, surveys, and questionnaires related to operational and financial information (requires the aptitude to understand the request, organize data collection between teams and provide the deliverable with appropriate information, ensuring consistency with past reporting and appropriate disclosures)
Quarterly investor portal data import/validation – Maintain accuracy of data for assigned commingled funds and/or separate accounts and investors in the Juniper Square investor portal
Quarterly financial reporting oversight – Review the completeness and accuracy of quarterly financial statements and other deliverables (e.g., Capital Account Balance , ILPA reporting template) for assigned commingled funds and/or separate accounts
Preparation and review of ad hoc investor capital calls, distribution notices and other investor communications
Liaise with other Fund and Investor Reporting team members to ensure consistency in processes that allow for scalability and ensure best practices are adopted across the firm
Other ad hoc projects and related responsibilities
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
5+ years of applicable experience in investment/fund accounting, audit and/or investor reporting (Real estate private equity experience strongly preferred)
Demonstrates initiative and strong work ethic with the ability to prioritize assignments to meet numerous deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while being flexible, adaptable and having fun
Highly proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
Experience with Workiva, Juniper Square and Yardi preferred
Superior organization and attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy
Strong analytical and communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of internal employees
Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving skills with the ability to research solutions and suggest resolutions
Available for work on-site in San Antonio, including ability to work extended hours as needed
