The Sleep Technologist performs a variety of sleep studies to diagnose the type and extent of disorders. The Sleep Technologist works closely with patients to diagnose and determine therapy for patients with a variety of disorders related to sleep. Technologists record and score sleep data and prepare raw data for physician and/or research interpretation.

Required Qualifications:
Registration through BRPT and the Medical Board of California as a Polysomnographic Technologist
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills
Computer skills appropriate to the job
BLS Required
Associates degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
3 or more years of direct patient care experience in Sleep Disorders
2 or more years experience as an RPSGT
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Digital and Analog equipment experience. BiPAP, AVAPS, ASV, oxygen titration and ETCO2/TcCO2
Bilingual in Spanish
Basic Arrhythmia Recognition and Treatment training (BART)
Bachelor's Degree in related field
6 months working in an accredited sleep center
